Peggy, Sean, Barrett and Parker, and others, I am soo sorry for your loss! George and I had breakfast at the Sugar Bowl on Dec 12. As usual, he was well prepared for our meeting. I'm sure he scoured our website just before each meeting and always wanted to know SMC's position on the latest trends in higher education. He often brought articles with things underlined - he gave me homework - including during our last visit. He must have had a file in his office "SMC/Visits with Kathie" where he kept topics for future visits. I think he liked to keep me on my toes! I was always impressed by George's quick whit, sharp intellect, sense of humor, and kindness and caring for others. Peggy, he was looking forward to planning some trips now that you had retired. And he enjoyed sharing his latest photo of Parker and his family. He was thrilled about their spring news! Those of us at SMC are proud to have called George a "Michaelmen". He'll be deeply missed at his 50th Class Reunion later this spring. I suspect he'll be watching all of us from her perch above! We'll do our best to make him proud!
