Obituary of Edward MacDonald King III

Edward MacDonald King III died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the age of 55 after a courageous 5 year battle with brain cancer. He was born on January 21, 1962 in Manhattan, NY to Nancy Heintz and the late Edward M. King II and was raised in Old Greenwich. Ed attended Greenwich schools, served in the United States Marine Corp. and graduated from Sacred Heart University. He had a love for computers and finance and most recently worked for Synapse Group. He is survived by his loving wife Carol (Fiorito) King; a son Edward M. King IV; a daughter Melissa King; two brothers James (Dolores) King and Charles (Jane) King; two sister-in-laws Linda Fiorito and Lisa (Paul) Laracca; three nephews James, Sam and Danny; two nieces Elizabeth and Christine; and two great nephews James III and Aedan. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mather Cemetery in Darien.
