Obituary of George Washington Billings III

George W. Billings, a resident of Norwalk, CT, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Norwalk Hospital. Born on October 25, 1944 in Stamford, CT, he was the son of the late Nina C. Billings and George W. Billings, Jr. George graduated from Boston College and the University of Connecticut School of Law. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar and practiced as an attorney mainly in Norwalk. He was a member of the Catholic Club. His hobby was photography, and he enjoyed being a drummer in a band while in high school and college. He also was an avid skier frequenting the ski areas of Southern Vermont and a fan of the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by his wife Rauthgundis Billings, his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Robert Cerulli, his son Derek Billings, his stepson Markus Bates and his partner, Diana Reddy and his grandchildren Christopher and Katelyn Cerulli and Marcello Bates who he all loved dearly. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. It was George's wish that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the "Boston College Fund (Unrestricted)" online at www.bc.edu/give.
