Obituary of Edwin C. Andrews Jr.

Edwin C. Andrews Jr. a resident of Darien passed away on November 4, 2010 at the Stamford Hospital. Born in Buffalo NY, he was the son of the late Edwin and Mary Conners Andrews. He was 87. Edwin attended the Nicoles School and Phillips Academy in Andover MA. He then graduated from Yale as class of 1949. He was a self employed Financier. He was a member of the Everglade Club and the Bath and Tennis Club both in Palm Beach. Edwin was also a member of the Valley club in Sun Valley, Idaho and the Wee Burn Country Club in Darien. Ed lived with passion in his heart and had love for his family. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Patricia S. Andrews, one son Edwin C. Andrews III of Plano TX and one daughter Patricia Bray of New Canaan, CT. He is also survived by one brother Peter Andrews of Washington DC and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday November 9, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST Thomas More Church, 374 Middlesex Rd., Darien, CT on Wednesday November 10, at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at ST John Cemetery in Darien.
