Obituary of Robert F. Miner, Sr.

Robert F. Miner, Sr., a longtime resident of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Stamford. Born and raised in New Rochelle, NY on May 28, 1937, he was the son of the late James Edwin and Theresa Clancy Miner. He was 78 years of age. Robert was a former Navy Signalman. He was an avid boater who loved the outdoors. He is survived by two sons, Robert F. Miner, Jr. of New Hyde Park, NY and Michael J. Miner of Danbury, CT; one daughter, Lori A. Di Zeo of Darien and three grandchildren, Maxwell Miner, Kyle Di Zeo and Cody Di Zeo and one great grandchild, Gavin Miner. He is also survived by a brother, George Gerald Miner of Oregon. He was predeceased by a grandson, Robert F. Miner, III. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 95 Kings Highway in New Rochelle, NY on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 12:00 PM.
