Obituary of Philip Frank Forlenzo Sr.

On Wednesday, May 8, 2013, Mr. Philip Frank Forlenzo departed at Stamford Hospital where he was surrounded by his loving family. Frank, as he was called, was a resident of Darien, Connecticut for over forty years and a devoted husband to his wife, Marie Glionna Forlenzo, for fifty-three years. After attending high school, Frank became a tractor trailer driver and later a driver of tri-axle dump trucks. Frank spent all of his working years in trucking as a member of Teamster Union Locals 191 and 443. Over his lifetime, especially in retirement, Frank enjoyed beautifying his yard and, particularly, the exterior of his home, where he spent countless hours. Frank's family will miss him dearly. Frank is survived by his loving wife Marie Glionna Forlenzo of Darien, two sons Chris Forlenzo of Milford and Mark Forlenzo of Newtown, two daughters Donna Savage of Wilton, Susan Forlenzo Dwyer of Colorado, two sisters Rose Verrastro and Mary Pelluci of Stamford, eleven grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Philip Frank Forlenzo Jr., and one daughter Lisa Forlenzo Schulke. Calling Hours will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd. Darien CT 06820 on Monday May 13, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St John's RC Church, 1986 Post Rd. Darien on Tuesday May 14, at 11:00 AM.
