Obituary of John Patrick Jones Jr.

John Patrick, Jones, Jr., a resident of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in Redding, CT. Born on April 27, 1950 in Norwalk, he was the son of the late John Patrick Jones Sr. and Helen Shannon Jones. He was 67. John graduated from King School in Stamford and Curry College in Massachusetts. He worked as a land surveyor for 24 years with Leonard Surveyors in Westport, CT. John loved spending his summers on the boat with his family out on the Sound. His courage, strength and love will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn McAndrews Jones of Redding; a daughter, Shannon OHara and her husband, Jeff, of Weston and a beloved 2 year old granddaughter, Libby OHara. He is also survived by a brother William Jones of Norwalk, CT. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Services and interment are private.
