Joan was my Formation Director in the Secular Order of Carmelites when I transferred to Ct from Calif. She was always so welcoming and gracious and with a warm and sincere smile upon her face. She had a great sense of humor and deep faith and love of God. Her sense of God in others was her gift and she was both practical and intuitive. I lost contact with Joan after Jan of 2012 but am so blessed to have re-united with her just a few week ago when we chatted by phone for quite some time. I am sad for those who loved her and will miss her. I am happy for Joan that she is relieved of her suffering here and in the care of God and his Mother Mary. I look forward to our next re-union, God Willing, in another life. I pray for her soul and beg her to pray for mine.
