To Julianne’s Family-Sad news to hear of Julianne’s passing. We worked together at Kendall School. During that time, Julianne as a special education teacher worked with some of my first graders. She was kind and patient and we both enjoyed watching our students learn and grow. Julianne touched many lives during her career in Norwalk. After retirement we met up with friends we made during our teaching years for lunches and other activities. One special memory is relaxing at the Darien beach on a sunny afternoon with our group. Julianne loved to share stories of her nieces and nephews and of course the famous Dude! May your family find peace and comfort in your memories. With love, JMS- Julianne called me this- same initials

Juliann invited me over to her house to pick up grandpa Lasko’s antique rocking chairs.
That was a gift, not the chairs, but the time I spent talking with Juliann, one on one, on a warm summer day in her backyard.
She was happy, radiant, and full of energy despite just clearing out her flooded basement..
Thank you Julianne for that treasure, I will miss you dearly.

Dear Steve and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Julieanne was a great person and friend. I was fortunate to have known her and will miss her terribly….going to the movies, hot dogs after the parade, driving to the beach for “salt “ therapy, water walking, and sharing stories about our cats. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. God bless

We all knew Julianne as a kind and generous woman. She was also a great researcher/travel companion. On a family trip to Orlando we took a day away from the parks to visit a famous donut shop she found on the Food Network. Donnie's Donuts promised gourmet donuts - if only we could find them. Following the gps we were a bit shocked to find ourselves at a biker bar with colorful individuals crowding the door. We regrouped fairly quickly and eventually got to our destination with amazing donuts that we shared. I can hear Julianne's laughter as we joked about the "real Donnie's Donuts" over the last few years! In December we joined a tour group in San Antonio. On a side trip to Fredericksburg she came through again with well researched German restaurants with schnitzel. In case the pattern isn't obvious, while researching a future family trip to the Grand Canyon she found a bakery that serves 50 kinds of pie - a must stop for this family
Julianne was funny, smart, and adventurous - someone you wanted to spend time with. Someone you could depend on. So many good memories. RIP sweet cousin.

To the Summerton and Lasko clans, we are saddened to hear about the passing of Julianne. She was a kind and gentle lady. I worked with her on the Darien High School Class of 1968 50th Reunion Committee. She was dedicated to making our reunion a huge success. She was looking forward to our 55th in September 2023.
May everyone’s wonderful memories of Julianne comfort you now and in the future. She is at peace. Rest In Peace sweet lady.

I was devastated to hear the news of Julianne’s passing. My sincere condolences to her entire family. I have great memories of being in a bowling league with Julianne along with trips to the casino and many lunches after we retired. We worked together for many years at Jefferson school. She was a great friend.

To Stephen and family, I am greatly saddened by Julianne’s passing. I worked with her for many years at Jefferson, sharing the education of her special needs students. I have many fun memories that include Julianne, the first to come to mind was when we had ‘Star Search’ at school, and she worked as a faculty advisor for it. In her retirement years, Julianne made a few bus trips to the casino with us, coming home with more money than she started with. My out-of work connection with Julianne was filled with cat moments. I know how much she loved Dudebro, and we would trade stories of our cats’ escapades. Please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss. Betsy & Freddy DeFinis
