So very sorry to hear of Bob's passing we were roommates and good friends at Chamberlayne JC...we stayed in touch for a few years after school, but then goes we got caught up with life...he was a fantastic man great sense of humor ..I will always remember him fondly. My condolences to Robert Henry’s family. That was one of the affectionate nicknames that we used for this wonderful man. I was so suddenly saddened to hear of this just today! So wanted to see him again at a DHS reunion and at the last one there was nobody I was happier to see. His perpetual good nature and personality will be missed in this world and welcomed in the next. Glad that our early neighborhood days of pickup football flood my mind! God bless you Bob!

To Bonnie and family, Bob will always have a special place in my heart as he was a true friend when I came to DHS in my Junior year and knew no one. During his college days and Vietnam tour we still saw each other when he came home. He was kind to anyone who knew him and though I haven't seen him recently, he was the same Bob I knew and loved when I did see him a 'few years ago at a 66-'67 reunion. My prayers are with you all.

Bonnie and the Darby family, I am so sorry for the loss of of my good friend, “Darbs”! There are so many memories of growing up together from the same neighborhood where Callahan, Darby, Fortune, and Staak would go to Mather and DHS together and share so many laughs, tears, and life experiences that I, for one, will never forget. We played basketball, baseball, football, and shared many other great times together over the years that I will always remember and cherish! We were even in line together for our draft physicals where Robert Henry went on to serve our country with great pride and that I will always be appreciative of his service to protect us and our country! Although our lives took different paths over the years, I always will remember my friend with affection. May God cradle all of you in his arms during this difficult time! May my good friend Rest In Peace. Bob Staak

My condolences to Bonnie and all her family. I've known Bob since I was a baby, he often had to babysit me when I spent time at his house, my family was close with his and my mom and dad were best friends with his mom and dad. My brother (Ronald Bennett) was one of his best friends while we were growing up and we spent alot of time together. I will miss him, he was always a good friend to me even though we didn't keep in touch. Thank you for your service in the Marines and thank you for being my friend.

Dear Bonnie, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's death. Even though we drifted away the last few years we still had over forty years of friendship. Baseball, basketball, toilet bowl football, softball Sundays, Fort Lauderdale, Port Chester, many many parties. These are just a few of the good times Bob and I shared. More important than the good times however, was the fact that Bob was a cherished friend. Jeff Rossell
