Obituary of Harold James Powell

Harold James Powell, a resident of Darien and beloved husband to the late Eleanor (Hunt) Powell, passed away on May 14, 2022. Born August 30, 1929, in Stamford and was the son of the late Richard and Elise (Vontobel) Powell. He was 92.

Harold was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a painter and worked for the City of Stamford for many years.

He is survived by two sons Todd Powell of Pittsfield, MA, and Glen J. Powell of Darien, and his dog and best friend, Bella.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Spinal Cord Injury Association (spinalcord.org) 120-34 Queens Blvd. #320 Kew Gardens, NY 11415.
