We had our high school reunion a few weeks ago, and, as will happen at our age, the list of classmates who had passed was extensive. As I looked at the list, I focused on Nancy's name. As Suzanne said earlier, Nancy "emanated light, warmth and kindness" and I guess I just assumed that those lights are just not meant to go out before those of us who never reach that level of goodness. I wanted to know more, and the family information I read confirmed Nancy continued her good works throughout her life. Know that those of us who knew her in grammar school and high school share the sense of loss of her grace and presence.

Nancy and I were classmates at St. Joseph's School in Garden City. I vividly remember that she sat behind me in the 4th row of our 8th grade classroom. I can picture her happy face. Nancy emanated light, warmth, and kindness to us all.
I send my condolences to her husband, children, and entire family. Suzanne O'Connell Scully

My heartfelt condolences to the Sforza family. I worked with Nancy at Darien Town Hall (her in Building, me in the Fire Marshal's office) so we were almost in daily contact with one another. We also spent several years as Dance Moms for the Darien Dance Center (we were Co-Chairs of the Dance Committee for years) Nancy was such a hard working, smart, get-the-job-done kind of lady. She was a valuable asset to any environment she worked in. On top of all that, she was warm, friendly, funny and kind to just about any of us. I'll miss her beautiful smile and the fun we had working together all these years. Heaven has gained another Angel. Rest in Peace.
God Bless,
Angela Clark

Nancy and I went to St. Joseph's grammar school together for eight years, then on to the Garden City High School where we graduated in 1973, and I will always remember her beautiful smile and personality that lit up every room she walked into. Years later my friends and I invited Nancy out to Southampton, NY for a summer weekend with the girls, full of wonderful stories, lots of laughs, and most importantly Saturday night "dancing". That was the weekend she met her future husband, "Eddie" (as we called him) on the dance floor at a party we attended at a local beach club. They made a perfect couple, and Nancy's Hollywood smile became a permanent part of her aura from that moment on! My heart goes out to Eddie and their family, all the Giordanos, the Trotters and extended family and friends. Nancy will be truly missed, but we do know she is watching over us all from Heaven now, and her beautiful smile will live on forever in our hearts. May she rest in peace. Until we meet again. God Bless.
