Obituary of Ralph John Benzenberg

Ralph John Benzenberg passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27th, 2023 in Connecticut. He and his wife Patricia have been living in Milford CT for the past 5 years. Before moving to Milford, he and Patricia were Darien residents for over 40 years. Ralph was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 25, 1942 to the late Ralph John Benzenberg and Helen Dorothy Crowell Benzenberg.
 

Ralph graduated from ArchBishop Molloy High School in New York in 1960, attended Queens College and entered the Marines from 1964-1970 where he reached the rank of Sergeant and received a Rifle Marksman Badge during his service. He married Patricia Benzenberg in April of 1968 in East Glendale NY. During Ralph’s career, he was in computer sales starting out at Sperry, where his father, Ralph John Benzenberg also worked and continued onto CMC, Computer Management Company. During the last ten years of his career before retiring, he worked for the United Postal Service as an International Sales Specialist in Flushing, NY, Jersey City, NJ and White Plains, NY.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Patricia Benzenberg, daughter Margaret Stroffolino, her husband Richard Stroffolino and their children, Lauren, Haley and Hannah. Daughter, Jeanie Edwards, her husband, Jerome Edwards and their daughter Emerson. He is also survived by  his brother, John Benzenberg and his wife, Carmen Benzenberg and their sons Eric and Andrew.

A Mass will be offered on Monday, April 3, 2023 at St. John Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, CT at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
