Mimi is surely one of the kindest, most generous and thoughtful women in my life. I have been friends with her and her family since 1978 after meeting Werner on a train from Rome to Florence. They welcomed me into their life as did their children and included my husband, David, when we became a couple. I made sure to visit a couple times of year and they came to Boston twice, the second time to attend our wedding. Mimi was a wonderful influence, guiding me in all sorts of ways, encouraging my painting, enhancing my cooking skills and appreciation of wine. Significantly, she encouraged me to keep French stirring in my brain and I am now taking courses at the Alliance Française of the Lake Champlain region. My continued friendship with her family will insure that she lives forever in my memory. Mimi, I love you and will continue to think of you often!
