Elaine Wilson Kuck passed away peacefully at her home at Selleck's Woods in Darien, Connecticut on December 22nd, 2024. Elaine was born on February 6th, 1929 in Mamaroneck, New York, a daughter to Col. Fred T. Wilson and Louise Gedney Wilson.
Elaine spent most of her life in Mamaroneck, New York and always called it home. She attended Northfield Mount Herman School and was a proud graduate of Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. On September 24th, 1955, Elaine married the love of her life, Richard H. Kuck and together, they built a beautiful family and shared many cherished memories.
Elaine was loved dearly. She was a devoted wife and mother, and leaves behind four daughters, Tracy Ann Kuck, Debra Kuck, Laura Keller and Barbara Close. She is also survived by two sons-in-law, Thomas Keller and Paul Swirbul, six grandchildren, Scott Keller (Hillary), Jeffrey Keller, Kevin Keller, Kathryn Close McSherry (Brendan), Haley Close, and Charles Close, and two great-grandchildren, Bode and Brooklyn Keller. Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Richard and her son-in-law Stephen C. Close.
Elaine's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of resilience, strength and devotion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Visiting hours will be held from 2:00-3:00pm, followed by a short service at 3:00pm, on Saturday, January 4th at Lawrence Funeral Home located at 2119 Post Road, Darien. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elaine's name can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, an organization she held close to her heart.
