Obituary of Constance Cookson

Constance (Tiggi) Cookson of San Diego, CA, formerly of Darien, passed on June 21, 2017 following a brief illness. She was 66 years old. Constance was born in Newton Highlands, MA to the late Albert E. and Constance (Buckley) Cookson. She graduated Darien High School in 1968, and then obtained masters degrees at George Washington University in Latin American studies and World Affairs. Connie was a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras for several years after college and taught nutrition to expectant mothers and new mothers. She was employed many years as claims administrator for the Social Security Administration in New York and San Jose, CA. Constance enjoyed world travel, helping others, and attending college courses. She is survived by her brother William (Mary) of Stamford and nephews Thomas and Christopher. Interment will be private.
