Obituary of Jean Marie Hessmer

It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Jean Marie Hessmer, 47 on October 21st. Jean was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 29, 1968. She was a Stamford resident and former resident of Darien, CT and Glenview, IL. She is survived by her parents John and Joan, brothers John and James, sisters Jennifer and Julie Orlando, brother in law Anthony, niece and goddaughter, Emma, and boyfriend RJ Dietz. Jean graduated from Darien High School, '86 and Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia '90 with a Bachelor in Business Administration. Jean was most recently employed by Tiffany & CO as Group Director, Licensing, Fragrance and Eyewear. Previously, she was a global brand builder experienced in luxury, prestige, and mass distribution channels including Tom Ford Beauty, Este Lauder Inc., Donna Karan Cosmetics, Calvin Klein Cosmetics, division of Unilever Prestige and Lancme. Jean was surrounded by so much love during her final days. Jean was a beautiful, loving, kind, caring, compassionate, intelligent, generous, loyal, gracious and amazing women. She will be missed by her family, friends and colleague. Family will receive friends and family at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820 on Friday, October 23rd from 2pm to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 24th at 12 noon at St. John RC Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, CT. Interment immediately following at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
