Helene Marlowe Hall, a long time resident of Darien, passed away on August 26, 2015 at the age of 98. Helene was born in NYC, NY, on September 11, 1916 to Jack and Lee Staniloff. As a young woman she studied dance and became a "Folies' girl" performing in such theatrical revues as the Folies Begere and the Bal Tabarin in Paris, and the International Casino in Cannes. She married Floyd B. Hall at the outset of WWII and was stationed with him at the Greenbriar golf resort, which served as an active military medical facility throughout the war. Following their time in Virginia, she and Floyd began their professional lives in Manhattan. Helene worked as an ass't art director in the golden era of live television at CBS on such productions as Studio One. During this time Helene also studied fashion design at Parsons, and painting and sculpture at the Arts Students League of New York. Throughout her life Helene was a working artist and clothing designer. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Evan and Kelin, and her son, Bruce M.
