Chief Kevin M. Dunn, age 69, of Charlestown RI, son of the late Joseph F. Dunn and Helen Gaffney Dunn passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2012, in Wakefield, RI. A long time resident of Darien he was born on April 11, 1943 in Stamford CT. Kevin was a member of the Darien Volunteer Fire Department, and was Chief from 1973-1974. He was a long time Darien area plumbing and heating contractor. He had a passion for fishing and rebuilding old cars as well as car racing. He is survived by Carole Dunn Tyler, sister of Darien CT, and Janet D. Murphy, sister, and husband Frank Murphy of Norwalk. Kevin is also survived by two nephews William H. Tyler and his wife Denise, Daniel C. Tyler and his wife Colleen, two nieces Amy Tyler Capozzoli and her husband Robert C. and Kara Murphy, and several great nephews and nieces. Calling hours will take place at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Boston Post Road, Darien CT 06820, on Sunday June 17, 2012, from 2:00PM to 6:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday June 18, 2012, at 10:00 AM at St. John's RC Church, 1986 Boston Post Road, Darien CT.
