Monday, April 6, 2009
Pat Francie and I wish to share our prayers at this time of Bill's passing. We both remember you and Bill's kindness towards us @ Seagram's Louisville plant in the 70's. One great memory I will never forget is Bill as plant manager walking up to me one day when I was Bottling Maintenance Supt. He strongly suggested, "come up with something" to eliminate the 2 people on each line having to manually open shipping case top flaps for the packers to insert full bottles. After some research we came upon an idea of adding two air operated small wheels to squeeze each side of the cases causing the flaps to stand straight up! Consequently these "openers" did the trick and we forever called them "Wunder Wheels" in honor of Bill whom asked us to "do something!" Pat thanks for being so kind to us in those early formative years at Louisville.

Dear Bill, Lola will miss you a lot. You were a pistol! That's what I loved about you so much. To Patsy, Kathy & family, it takes a long time to recover from the loss of such a pillar in your lives. Each day, you will get stronger but it is not easy; the only thing I know that helps is to remember all the good times, the fun, the laughter, what a 'sweet' pain in the rear he could be! Celebrate his life and what a wonderful man he was. Cry hard and laugh hard...and let these memories fill your hearts. He was surely one who touched our lives and will never be fogotten. I wish I was there to give you all a hug and say good bye to Bill. Please kiss him for me. God Bless
