I was shocked to learn that Judy passed so suddenly. I first met Judy when she taught my son, Daniel, in her 4yr old class and soon after, Judy and I began working together. I quickly became the Ethel to her Lucy of Happiness Pre-School and we used more glitter than all of the other classes combined. She was an exceptional teacher who touched the lives of so many Darien children although she never did master snowflake cutting. Even with her lefty Fiskar scissors. One of my favorite projects with Judy came about one Halloween when she determined that we needed to jazz up the witches that the kids were painting. Without missing a beat, the woman who only wore flats decided that instead of pointy boots, our witches would have Louboutin pumps complete with red glitter soles! I loved her sense of humor and we often laughed until tears would stream down our cheeks. Judy was also one of the smartest people I have ever met and I often teased her that the pre school was a facade for her real job with the CIA. I can picture her in heaven roller skating around, having a ball and giving Castro a piece of her mind. Judy was an excceptional person and I was very lucky to have had her in my life. We are all going to miss her so very much and my heart breaks for Tom and John. Peace be with you, Judy. Love, Beth Wood
