When I was president of Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club, Jan was involved with membership. She would mail out a welcome letter and membership card to new and renewing members. This was just one of the many ways she was helpful to others. I also attended some of the post-ride gatherings where Jan opened up her house to anyone who wanted to attend. She was always helpful and gracious and will be missed.

It is with great sadness that I find myself writing this letter of condolence. Janet Hansen was a role model. She embodied humility, sweetness, and love. On the first day of grade school, year after year, I was always delighted to find her smiling face right there in the seat next to mine. My life has been enriched by her example. Truly an angel. God bless you Janet.

To Jan's family and loved ones, Our hearts go out to you! Jan had such a big heart and really loved children, biking, skiing and her friends. We are biking buddies of hers and always remember the enthusiam and joy she brought to our bike rides. Her spirit and optimism these past 14 months really had an impact on both of us. We are happy that we had a chance to help her on her flight back from Florida this past May. We had over two hours of Jan to ourselves! Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
